Counsellor in Basingstoke at Find Clarity Counselling. I’m Simon Cook, a qualified and B.A.C.P registered therapist and counsellor providing talking therapy for adult clients looking for support with life’s challenges.

If you’re looking to meet in-person for counselling around the Basingstoke area, I work from therapy rooms in Basingstoke town centre (RG21), Old Basing (RG24), Kingsclere (RG26) and in Odiham (RG29). If you’re based outside of these areas, I offer online counselling across the UK.

I can help and support you if you don’t want to burden the people close to you with your worries. Maybe friends and family don’t quite understand? Perhaps it’s general feelings of being stuck or ‘I’m not ok’ or maybe a specific issue that you want help with.

Some of the issues I help with at Find Clarity Counselling include:

  • anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • stress
  • suicide ideation
  • low self esteem
  • self harm
  • depression
  • relationship difficulties
  • bereavement

As a counsellor I can provide professional support with work, parenting, family, friendships, identity, finances, career, sexuality and so much more.

Counselling is a unique opportunity to spend almost an hour just talking about yourself. At no other point in life do we do this. How many times have you tried to talk to someone and they just end up talking about themselves, interrupting you or giving you ‘helpful’ advice? As your therapist, I will be alongside you as you try to find clarity in your relationships with yourself, other things or other people.

We’re all different so how we work together depends on what issues you bring and what type of therapy you experience as being helpful to you. I’ve never provided the same therapy twice. I see counselling as a collaborative process and I offer different strategies to fit with the individual needs of each client.

Whether we meet in-person in Basingstoke or online, I first welcome you to contact me so that we can arrange a 15 minute discussion on the phone. During this call we can discuss what is bringing you to therapy and if we feel we are a good fit to work together, we can then book counselling sessions at a convenient time.
